When you visit the website
The site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical request information such as your IP address, the requested address, the time of the request, and browser or device information. This is necessary to deliver the site, maintain its reliability, and protect it from misuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website.
Cloudflare may process this information outside the European Economic Area under contractual safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required. Lunacliptica does not export or retain separate copies of raw visitor logs. Cloudflare retains technical information according to the settings and retention periods of the services it provides. Lunacliptica uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used and how well it performs. It reports visits and page views, requested pages, referring sites, and aggregate breakdowns by country, device type, browser, and operating system, together with page-load performance and Core Web Vitals. We use these measurements to improve the site’s content, reliability, and performance. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, local storage, fingerprinting, or persistent visitor identifiers, and it does not track visitors across websites. Lunacliptica receives aggregate statistics rather than profiles of individual visitors. Cloudflare retains Web Analytics data for six months. Browser storage
The site uses session storage only to preserve the state of a page transition while you move between pages. The stored value does not directly identify you and is removed when the browser session ends.
When you subscribe for updates
If you subscribe, Lunacliptica and its newsletter provider, Buttondown, process your email address, signup IP address, subscription date and status, and limited referral information. We use this information to confirm and manage your subscription, send the updates you requested, document your consent, and protect the signup form from misuse.
Our legal basis for sending updates is your consent. We process limited signup records on the basis of our legitimate interests in maintaining accurate consent records and protecting the subscription service. Providing your email address is voluntary, but without it we cannot send you updates.
Buttondown, LLC processes newsletter information in the United States on our behalf. Its data processing agreement incorporates Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the European Economic Area. Read Buttondown’s Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Policy for more information.
We keep newsletter information while you are subscribed. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in each email. Delivery will then stop, but a limited suppression record may be retained to honor your choice and prevent accidental resubscription. You can ask us to delete your subscriber information. Information will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer needed for these purposes, except where retention is required by law or needed to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, or object to its processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. To make a request, email [email protected].
